Allumera treatment review

It should not come as a surprise that remarkable improvements in skin condition can be accomplished by having light based treatments that can also be called by such other names as laser or photo-facial or photodynamics. To the list of many light-based skin rejuvenation options, you can now add something called Allumera. According to Ritacca Laser & Cosmetic Surgery Center, it is a new class of photodynamic cosmetics. Allumera is a new, topical cream specifically formulated to improve the overall appearance of skin, reduce the outward signs of aging and minimize the appearance of pores with minimal downtime and results that last. In a five-month controlled study, people experienced a 44% reduction in the appearance of their pores three months after their last treatment. In a survey conducted three months after their last Allumera treatment, more than 80% of patients in all cases said their skin felt softer, more hydrated, moisturized and smoother, skin texture was improved, skin looked and felt healthier. The majority of people also commented that they would recommend Allumera to a friend.

Allumera application: Applied to the face and then bathe the skin for 60 minutes. The cream is then washed off and activated by exposing the skin to a source of light left to the discretion of the technician. Each treatment takes approximately one hour and for optimal results, three Allumera treatments are recommended spaced four weeks apart.

Expert opinion: According to Dr. Daniel Ritacca, “Allumera is a 6 minute facial revitalization that improves skin tone and other texture concerns, while drastically reducing pores. I highly recommend Allumera to my patients that seek minimal downtime.” Allumera is well-tolerated and fills the gap for those looking for more than a chemical peel, but wish to avoid more invasive procedures.
