Cameron Diaz promises never to have plastic surgery

Postby want2bfit » Tue Nov 08, 2005 2:35 pm

Actress Cameron Diaz is adding her name to the list of Hollywood celebrities who do not approve of cosmetic surgery. Contrary to others like Kate Jordan, Rene Russo, Courtney Cox, and Lara Flynn Boyle, she wants to age gracefully. "Women, in particular, are guilty of this. The sooner we accept that we're going to age and die, the richer a life we'll all have," she says.

She does realize that when celebrities have plastic surgery and talk about it, it sends wrong message to younsters who then want to have plastic surgery to become more popular in school. "Beauty comes from the inside, but that's not the message we're selling to young girls in society today. It's really dangerous," she said.

You have a right to change your mind, Ms. Diaz.

Liv Tyler joins the gang

Postby jd » Thu Dec 15, 2005 11:08 am

Like many other celebrities (some of whom change their mind afterwards, for instance, Keira Knightley), Liv Tyler has announced that she would NEVER have plastic surgery. Why? She thinks that people look "creepy."

Now, I have seen a few cases where women went overboard with cosmetic procedures and do look somewhat unnatural but to make such a sweeping statement about everyone who has had plastic surgery is not right. I have seen many many people who look so much better after going under the knife.

Kathleen Turner without surgery

Postby surgeryaddict » Tue Jan 10, 2006 5:17 pm

Well Kathleen Turner is joining the list of celebrities who do not want to go under the knife to look good. At 52, I think she looks pretty good, but don't you think that she may not look this good for too long? In an interview she says, "I look at a lot of actresses on film, even the younger ones, and nothing moves, which to me would be dreadful. How, then, can you act? I mean, half of my acting is my eyebrows." She was obviously referring to the wonders of Botox.

Christina Aguilera also wants to age gracefully

The golden girl tells Blender, "I'm the kind of girl who will look at a scar or a beauty mark or a wrinkle and think it makes you individual, who you are. And I think women get better with age." I guess, just an opinion rather than the whole truth.

Elizabeth Hurley wants to get gracefully too..

Postby sharon » Mon Mar 20, 2006 11:42 am

As if those of us who go under the knife don't age gracefully - what does aging gracefully really mean any way? Do women who use makeup don't age gracefully.

Elizabeth Hurley says in an interview, "I'd be too scared to have my face altered surgically in case it looked worse. Most surgery looks pretty bad and I can spot it a mile away." So is it really the fear of the unknown or a principled opposition to surgery?
