Non-surgical chin augmentation

Using a filler called Radiesse

Who does not like minimally-invasive surgical procedures?  They are less risky, the healing time is longer, generally the need for being under anesthesia is not there, and the cost is much higher. The cosmetic surgeons understand that and are trying to develop non-invasive procedures.

We have already discusses the non-surgical rhinoplasty and Dr. Alexander Rivkin is now applying the same principles to non surgical chin enhancement.

Image of a woman showing her perfect profile. In this alternative to traditional mentoplasty (surgical chin enhancement), Dr. Rivkin uses the injectable filler Radiesse to enhance the projection of the chin, thereby improving the profile and the overall balance of facial features. The procedure is usually done in two 30 minute stages, two weeks apart.

According to Dr. Rivkin, a weak chin can make other facial features appear larger than they are, especially the nose. Enhancing the chin proportionately to the nose provides balance to the rest of the face. Unlike permanent surgical chin implant procedures, Dr. Rivkin can change the area of injection each time he does the procedure in order to compensate for any changes in the patient’s face over time. Also, the procedure is extremely precise. Instead of being limited by a prefabricated implant, Dr. Rivkin adds only where it is necessary to achieve exactly what the patient desires. The result is individual and always natural, without looking overdone.

  Cost of non-surgical chin augmentation

There is no recovery time (patients go back to work the same day) and minimal swelling and pain, at a fraction of the cost. While the cost varies by location and surgeon, plan on spending about $1,000. This compares to the $5,000 to $8,000 of traditional chin implant surgery.
